Something funny...

I just got a new "cell phone" and it made me think about breaking out all of my old ones to compare and just laugh at what used to be.

I put them in order of 1st to most recent. That first one was what everybody had at that time about 10 years ago. At one point I had a sparkle-diamond looking cover for that phone. The next one I had at the end of high-school and at Lipscomb and the ringtones on that phone still make me think of certain people! I even have a few old text messages left on that phone! And then the next one that I had for probably 3 years that I LOVED! I had that one up til last year when I got the Blackberry...which I will not have another one. And then the most recent and most fancy and not even classified as a cell phone! By the way 3 out of the 5 are Samsung phones. I like those guys.

Anyways...I'm sure you are all fascinated by my history of cell phones!! But wanted to just document and share what I thought was pretty funny! How far things have come!!!!

#1 Nascar Fan!!!

I had the pleasure of being invited to go to my first ever Nascar race in Charlotte this weekend!! Adam had tickets in a box, with all you can eat, and pit passes!! I was just overwhelmed with everything to look at!!! There was so much to take in and it amazes me at what a production it is for just one race!! It was just awesome!! We got there well before the race and just walked around and enjoyed all the "sights." And just a little fun fact...they still allow fans to come in to the stands with coolers, i mean BIG coolers, full of beer. It's just standard!! So here are a few of the pictures I took to give you an idea of how it was...Enjoy.

Fans that camped out right beside the track and right by pit road. They put those couches up there on the risers that they built, which was pretty standard all over the track! Southern Comfort at its finest...Very cool...
OH...and the box seats way behind them are the seats that we had!

The Pit...

My kind of race car...always gotta support Target!!!

Adam and I in the Pits...

(I was SO thankful that they had "professional photogs" there so I knew I would at least get one good picture of us with my HUGE lens I had on!!)

Right before the race started...

Our view during the race!!! Box seats!!!

Driftwood Beach

On Sunday while we were in Georgia we dropped by Driftwood Beach for a couple of hours. This beach is covered in driftwood and made for the perfect photo-op. This place is just so cool and the pictures turned out so awesome. I would like to go back one day and take it in even more. Enjoy the pictures! And don't steal them because I know that they are beautiful HAHA!!!

Savannah trip

Labor Day weekend Katie, Nathan, and I all packed up and drove to Fort Stewart Georgia to spend the weekend with her family and vacate. We had a great trip. We went to Savannah on Saturday and Katie and I got to play with our cameras and had a blast, even if it was terribly hot and we couldn't handle much more by the end of the afternoon! We got some great pictures though!

Farmers Market

I know I've been gone a while...But here are some cool pictures I took at the Farmers Market back in July.

Stickin' it to the man...

Who LOVES these?!?!

Me. I saw these in a catalog a long time ago and this picture has been on my fridge since then. Thinking that perhaps I could recreate them?! Seeing as how they are $80-$100?!?!

My awesome sister-in-law, Angie, gave me this cork board months ago because she wasn't going to use it, so I gladly accepted.

And for just under $10 I made my own version. I found a great stencil and got some paint and got this final result!!

I love stickin' it to the man...

Beach, Nose, 4th of July!!!!

I am going to try to sum up the last few weeks in pictures. I went to the beach with the family in June and we had a wonderful week!!

Here's Uncle Patrick with Ethan, he spent most of the week with his hands in the air just as happy as he could be.

Here are the guys looking out and I think they were all wearing Star Wars shirts...

Our favorite beach visitor, Al, came for a couple of days and brought another amazing dinner!!

I also got my nose pierced last week with a couple of girl friends from work. I've always wanted to do it so I just went for it!! Here is the BEFORE pic:

DURING:
(I really am not crying. I was actually giggling knowing how silly I looked.)

AFTER:

This is my good friend Sherry and I had to include this picture because of the guy who I let put a needle through my nose. I could not stop staring at his "ears"!!! Do your ears hang low??

These pictures are from the 5th of July with the family at my parents house. The kids were fun as always. And Ethan is a walker!!!!

And here is the 4th of July out at the Branch Ranch. We grilled out, fished, kayaked, hung out, fellowshipped, and fireworked!!!

Nathan touching a fish for the first time...

And one more 4th of July celebration at Eric's house with lots of friends...
Ashleigh got to come!!

And my American flag cake that I made!! Very yummy and so fun looking!
Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th!!!
