Our home is about 30 years old (maybe more). Adam grew up in this house and he inherited it and had done quite a few home improvement projects on it before we got married. Since I've known him he rebuilt the back porch and put a roof over it, remodeled the hall full bath, got some new appliances and a few other things. My biggest problem in the house is the lack of storage, having no room for anything really, and no pantry. I didn't have a pantry anyways in my townhouse but I turned a pie safe in to a pantry and it worked for me, but in this house I have really had to think hard!!! So this past summer Adam added 3 shelves on the wall in the "laundry room" which was super great because it's very well used space! And a couple of weeks ago he hung up some storage on the back of the laundry room doors! The storage rack is actually one long unit to hang on one door, but because it would have hit our washer or dryer he cut it in half!!  ( I LOVE HAVING A HANDY HUSBAND!!!) So NOW I have even more space in kitchen cabinets because I can put stuff on the door!!! Boy was I a happy woman!! Still am! I just know that whenever we get a new home it will have a pantry of some sort!!! Maybe a walk-in one! I can dream, right!?

I was loading Wedding pictures on to my computer tonight and looked through all of the Photo Booth pictures which are just awesome!! Was just going to share some of my favorites...Katie, the ones of BK and Nathan make me laugh every time I look at them!! I hope y'all got copies of them!!!

Fun Haleigh Times

Not much has been going on this week. Haleigh's back at school and Adam and I just work through the daily grind. Tuesday never got above 20 degrees and today it's supposed to be in the 50's! Haleigh and I did go to Edward McKay's a used bookstore in town to turn in some old books of hers and potentially get some "new" books for her! We ended up with $27 worth of store credit! I was pretty surprised at how much we got. She also got a purse for Christmas and she loaded it up before we went shopping! I had to take a picture just because she looked so grown up!

And here she is just being goofy with her chopsticks. I'm telling y'all this girl LOVES her some Japanese food! Miso soup, SUSHI!, teriyaki steak, rice, vegetables...all of it!

Haleigh's Room Transformation

I've worked hard the last few months to get Haleigh's room reorganized.  I brought my bed from my place to let her have it since it's sort of a waste to just keep it in storage because it's a beautiful piece of furniture. So the first picture is a before and after. 

I also have had a chest of drawers from when I was a kid and it's been painted multiple times so I painted it one more time grey (even though it totally looks white...my mistake) and got some cute see- through purple drawer knobs and silver pulls. So here's the before and after from that. 

And this jewel below was a $10 find from Adam that was about twice as tall originally but he sawed half of it off and I just cleaned it up!! 

And of course Haleigh REALLY loves her room now...it's her little oasis and spends  lot of time in there! 

Still a few things to do. Like paint the star purple and maybe sparkle it up a little and take that blue wig down (that was from Santa)!
